Caffé Nero

Bath – apparently – houses the most caffeine-crazy people in the world, or so you might think. You don't have enough fingers and toes to count the number of trendy coffee houses in town, all of them boasting the best coffee. Few actually live up to that expectation. So we were more than surprised when yet another coffee shop opened on Broadgate Street, about 30 seconds walk away from Starbucks. The two establishments are worlds apart though – Caffé Nero – although part of a chain – is fantastic. They use three shots of espresso in a grande coffee – so you can actually taste it – and the Nero Baristas – the real name for a skilled coffee maker – know exactly how to get the most out of our favourite naughty little bean. Check out the comfy sofas downstairs. We love it.
