How could we have been so wrong? How could Itchy – renowned for getting everything right all of the time – have been so far off the track? We said this place was a bit 'spit and sawdust' and full of estate agents pretending to be bikers in the 2002 guide. We take it all back. Not an estate agent to be found in the place. We were wrong. Sorry. Not a top spot for anyone looking to buy property in the city, the estate agents having decamped long ago. Though if you are looking for cheap eats and drinks then check out the slightly more salubrious upstairs bar at lunchtimes. Still fails to impress, however, unless you are brave enough to talk to the locals who are clearly not the 40-year-old virgins we once suggested. 39 perhaps.
