Eat Birmingham

We've got so many Michelin stars, we might as well adopt the Stars and Stripes as our flag. In fact, we'd say we've got some of the best restaurants in the country, which makes for very happy eating.
The main areas for good grub in the city centre are in Brindleyplace, though you'll have to cough up the cash to eat here. The Clubbers' mile is also home to the best Sunday roast in town.
The Brasshouse (44 Broad Street, 0121 633 3383) offers big portions, cosy corners, and real ales to wash it all down.
The Living Room (Unit 4, Regency Wharf 2, Broad Street, 0870 442 2539) is the perfect people-watching spot as it overlooks Broad Street, but isn't too high up to make you feel queasy. Their Sunday brunch isn't cheap, but the best hangover cures always come at a price.
Finally if you're a veggie or vegan about town, Sibila's (Canal Square, Browning Street, 0121 456 7634) is a must-go for very creative cooking and organic cider to boot.
